Negative self-talk is a bully disguised as a friend – twisting the truth to hold you back:
- “You’re only going to embarrass yourself. It’s better not to try.”
- “You saw how that worked for ______. How could you do any better?”
- “You’ve never been good at that. What makes you think anything will change?”
We’re all at risk of this.
What negative self-talk fails to realize, however, is that it highlights the very potential it seeks to hide.
Where are you currently experiencing the most expectation of failure?
